Statement on the current health crisis13.03.20
Our current approach is to follow the government’s advice. This means ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at the theatre and encouraging anyone with symptoms to self-isolate.
At the same time, the Maltings remains open for business and we will continue with all performances and events as planned, until and unless government advice or regulations change to the contrary.
If the government decides to close theatres, as has happened in other countries, we will postpone currently scheduled performances until later in the year. Tickets purchased already would be valid for these rearranged dates. In the event that performers become ill, or are required to self isolate, we will endeavour to proceed with understudies, but if that is not possible we may need to postpone performances until later in the year.
This is obviously a fast moving situation and current government and advice may change, in which case we will provide further updates. If specific events are affected, we will notify ticketholders as soon as possible.
