A new chapter for OVO Theatre

01.02.19

2019 is set to be a busy and exciting year for OVO as it begins working towards becoming a year-round producing repertory theatre!

Building on the success of 2018, in which all of its productions sold-out, garnering rave reviews across the board, the company’s ambition for the new year is to offer theatre-goers two weeks of live theatre every month.

The Changeling

The company will be increasing its own output, but will also be working collaboratively with other theatre companies who share its artistic vision and commitment to produce distinctive, engaging work.

Founder, Adam Nichols said: ‘We will be working hard to build on the track record and reputation we have established over the past fifteen years to establish OVO at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans as one of the region’s leading venues for innovative, imaginative and inspiring theatre. We’re really looking forward to welcoming both old and new OVO fans along to what promises to be another fantastic OVO season”.

Off to a flying start last month with Lot Vekemans’ Poison, a collaboration with local production company Duality Theatre, and a production that ‘moved’ and ‘captivated’ audiences, the Spring 2019 season continues on with a further three contemporary plays, two classics and a piece of new writing, offering a wide range of dramatic theatre.

We can’t wait!
